Beverage Packaging Design & Brand Identity — Subtle Tea Hard Iced Tea

Drink can and packaging illustration and design for Subtle Tea Vodka

The Challenge: Standing Out in the Boutique Beverage Market

Subtle Tea, a Melbourne-based innovator in tea-based beverages, required a distinct visual identity for their new line of Hard Iced Teas. Targeting health-conscious millennials, the challenge was to communicate natural ingredients and transparency without sacrificing shelf-impact. The brand needed a "Vintage Aesthetic" that felt artisanal yet premium, requiring a visual system that could scale across multiple flavours while maintaining a cohesive brand presence.

The Solution: A Vintage-Inspired Illustrated Brand System

I developed a bespoke illustrated packaging system centred on a handcrafted narrative. By using flavour-specific colour palettes and vintage-inspired typography, I created a series of can designs that highlight the product’s authenticity. My role as an off-site art department included the design of full-wrap can labels, technical print preparation, and extending the visual language into brand assets. The result is a unified, turnkey identity that celebrates the "Analogue Soul" of the ingredients through "Digital Precision" in execution.
