From Concepts to Illustration and Design: A Collaboration with Transparency International Australia
When Transparency International Australia (TIA) approached me to bring their 2024-2028 strategy to life, I knew it was an opportunity to create something truly meaningful. As the national chapter of Transparency International—a global coalition against corruption operating in over 100 countries—TIA’s mission is both powerful and urgent. Each chapter operates independently, but together they strive for one unified vision: a world free of corruption.
For this project, I collaborated closely with Hansika Bhagani, TIA’s Advocacy and Communications Manager. Our goal was to visually communicate TIA’s strategy in a way that felt fresh, engaging, and unmistakably their own. The process began with concept development, where I crafted a range of visual ideas that could encapsulate the core themes of their strategy. These ideas were refined through feedback and discussion until we landed on a cohesive visual language that would run through both the cover and internal pages of the strategy document.
The Challenge: Distilling Global Policy into Human Narrative
Transparency International Australia (TIA) required a visual system for their 2024-2028 strategy that could translate dense anti-corruption data into an engaging, accessible document. The primary challenge was creating a visual hierarchy that maintained professional "Strategic" weight while utilising a handcrafted, "Analogue-Soul" aesthetic to make the content feel human and urgent.
The Solution: A Turnkey Visual Identity
As an off-site art department, I provided a complete creative package. This began with conceptualising hero illustrations for key pillars like Whistleblower Protection and Political Integrity. I then extended these concepts into technical infographics and a full-wrap brochure design. By managing the project from initial sketches to print-ready finished artwork, I ensured TIA had a robust, unified visual language ready for global distribution.
